<p>Innodata - Isogen is seeking a technical writer intern for an immediate opportunity with 3 month contract.  The writer will be:</p>
<p>*Responsible for writing, editing, and maintaining user documentation. *Responsible for following quality and document control procedures to ensure that user documentation requirements for products are met. Work closely with subject matter experts.</p>
<p>Please review the qualifications below:</p>
<p>*1-3 years experience as a technical writer (preferably for software), such as user guides, installation guides, technical documentation, training materials, and curriculum development</p>
<p>*Detail oriented, organized, and reliable</p>
<p>*Excellent editing skills</p>
<p>*BS degree in Technical Writing, English, Communication, Software Engineering, or related fields or equivalent experience</p>
<p>*Proficiency with MS Word and other desktop publishing applications</p>
<p>*Knowledge of Framemaker and XML preferred</p>
<p>*Assimilates new product knowledge quickly and easily</p>
<p>This job is located in Dallas, Texas, and pays $20 per hour.</p>

<p>Key roles and responsibilities include:<br />
<br />• Edit, standardize, or make changes to training material.<br />
<br />• Ensure that training material is written clearly and meets accepted grammar rules.<br />
<br />• Maintain records and files of work and revisions.<br />
<br />• Assist in entering training material into a content management system.<br />
<br />• Assist in laying out material for publication.<br />
<br />Important skills include:<br />
<br />• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.<br />
<br />• Eye for detail.<br />
<br />• Ability to use Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.<br />
<br />• Ability to manage time to meet deadlines.<br />
<br />• Willingness to work with a variety of people and develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.<br />
<br />• Highly motivated individual who is willing to learn and grow.<br />
<br />Education requirements:<br />
<br />• A bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, or Journalism.</p>
<p>Recent graduates are welcome to apply.</p>
<p>Benefits include health insurance and 401K plan. Position is on Fort McPherson base in Atlanta, GA and is MARTA accessible. Candidates must be able to pass a government security clearance.</p>
