Innodata - Isogen is seeking a technical writer intern for an immediate opportunity with 3 month contract. The writer will be:

*Responsible for writing, editing, and maintaining user documentation. *Responsible for following quality and document control procedures to ensure that user documentation requirements for products are met. Work closely with subject matter experts.

Please review the qualifications below:

*1-3 years experience as a technical writer (preferably for software), such as user guides, installation guides, technical documentation, training materials, and curriculum development

*Detail oriented, organized, and reliable

*Excellent editing skills

*BS degree in Technical Writing, English, Communication, Software Engineering, or related fields or equivalent experience

*Proficiency with MS Word and other desktop publishing applications

*Knowledge of Framemaker and XML preferred

*Assimilates new product knowledge quickly and easily

This job is located in Dallas, Texas, and pays $20 per hour.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

• Edit, standardize, or make changes to training material.

• Ensure that training material is written clearly and meets accepted grammar rules.

• Maintain records and files of work and revisions.

• Assist in entering training material into a content management system.

• Assist in laying out material for publication.

• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Education requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, or Journalism.
