Greeting card writers
Job Description:
1. What we are looking for: Contemporary prose or poetry written for today’s adult audience of all ages. Writings must reflect thoughts and feelings people wish to communicate to one another through cards and mementos. The writings must capture and convey heartfelt emotions and expression on topics such as friendship, love, family and personal aspirations. Submissions must be new, original, and creative. Seasonal submissions for Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day must be submitted by July 30.
2. E-mail submissions: Send to eventmarks@gmail.com. You may submit as many writings as you wish in one e-mail. Please include your name, address, and telephone number. We will respond to all submissions within 2-4 weeks after receipt of the submission. Please do not send attachments or website links.
3. Submissions selected for further review will receive a response by postal mail within 2 months.
4. Payment: We pay $200 per poem/prose for the worldwide, exclusive rights to publish it on a greeting card and other products.
5. Questions concerning your submission must be e-mailed eventmarks@gmail.com.
6. Copyright: The Company may at its option decide to copyright the writings. In consideration for the above mentioned fees, submitters will assign such rights to the company.
