We currently have an opening for an E-Newsletter Writer to play an integral role on our Marketing Team. This person will be responsible for 4 web-based newsletters with varying topics and deadlines (monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly). The e-newsletters’ audiences vary from college administrators to substance abuse clinicians, nurses and administrators to pharmaceutical and biotech executives. Tone varies from somewhat casual to factual to sophisticated. The ideal candidate is technically savvy and can manage the e-writing process, while also possessing traditional writing skills such as impeccable grammar and familiarity with the editorial process.

Responsibilities:

· Research, write and edit online content for health-related e-newsletters

· Produce content directly and collaboratively with internal content area experts

· Interview external health experts

· Ensure quality control of all e-newsletter content

· Stay abreast of current industry standards and techniques, including semi-annual update of e-newsletter style guide

· Maintain electronic and paper archive for research resources and published content

· Create and maintain editorial calendar

· Contribute as project editor for internal project teams as needed

Qualifications:

· B.A. with 3+ years experience writing web content, preferably in the health field

· Demonstrated experience in educational writing, preferably in e-newsletter format

· Ability to multi-task on varying topics and deadlines

· Ability to focus writing on a consumer audience

· Proficient with MS Office

· Experience using an e-newsletter distribution vendor (i.e. Constant Contact) preferred

· Experience using a Content Management System preferred

· Experience analyzing and increasing e-newsletter click-through statistics preferred

· Experience in small company strategic-thinking

· Ability to complete tasks with limited resources; strong problem solving, innovation and organizational skills, and attention to detail

· Ability to work independently as well as within a team
